At OTTER, we've crafted an incredible methodology to take Education Outside the Classroom (EOC) to new heights. It's been tested by 9 primary and secondary schools across Europe, and the results are fantastic. You can see it on our site. But what happens now that our project is coming to an end?
We want to tackle the sustainability challenges of the project, aiming to take this methodology where it's most needed. That's why we've organized this OTTER ONLINE FINAL EVENT.

During the event, we'll discuss the political actions needed, both at the school and local, national, and international levels, to ensure that Education Outside the Classroom is feasible for schools all over Europe. To achieve this, we'll host a roundtable discussion with experts in the field AND YOU, educators, to generate a policy brief that we'll deliver to policymakers and decision-makers all over Europe.
Joining us in the roundtable will be Stella Hadjiachilleos (Unit for Education for the Environment and Sustainable Development at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute - CPI), Ivelina Ivanova (project manager in the Science Education Department of European Schoolnet), Ciara Breen (teacher at Scoil Íde, Ireland) and Ray d'Arcy (principal of Scoil Íde, Ireland). With them, and with you, we'll dive into exciting and essential topics such as:
- The importance of science education in developing sustainable societies
- New approaches to ease the implementation of educational materials in schools across Europe
- Encouraging innovative Education Outside the Classroom learning to contribute to education for sustainable development
